TapID at the BNI Sri Lanka National Conference 2026
TapID launched to hundreds of Sri Lanka's most active networkers at the BNI National Conference. Here is what happened when a room full of professionals started tapping.
If you want to know whether a networking product actually works, take it to the most serious networkers in the country and put it on a table.
That is what we did at the BNI Sri Lanka National Conference 2026. Hundreds of members, one ballroom, and a TapID booth with every card finish laid out and ready to tap.

What happened at the booth?
The same scene, over and over: someone picks up a card, we tap it against their phone, and their eyebrows go up. Name, role, company, WhatsApp, all on the screen before they have finished asking "so how does it work?". Then the moment that sells it: they share their details back, and we show them the lead sitting in the inbox with their name on it.
No app on their phone. No typing. One tap.

Why launch at a BNI conference?
Because BNI members follow up for a living. Givers Gain only works when the contact you made on Tuesday is still findable on Friday. Paper cards are where that system leaks: they get lost, retyped wrong, or filed in a drawer nobody opens.
A TapID closes that leak. The introduction saves itself into the other person's phone, and their details land in your leads inbox with room for notes and reminders. For people who measure their referrals, that is not a gadget; it is bookkeeping for relationships. We wrote more about that in our guide to following up after networking events.

What did members ask us most?
Three questions came up all day:
- "Does it work with iPhone?" Yes, every modern iPhone and Android. Here is the full iPhone answer.
- "What if my details change?" You edit your profile once and every card you have ever handed out is instantly current. No reprints, ever.
- "Can my whole chapter get these?" Yes. Cards carry your own branding, and teams can manage members in one workspace. If you are a BNI member, our BNI networking guide covers exactly how members use TapID week to week.

What is next?
The TapID app is now live on the App Store and Google Play, the shop ships every finish you saw on the booth table with your own branding printed, and we will be at more events across the country this year.
If we met you at the conference: thank you for the energy, the questions and the taps. If we did not, the booth experience is one tap away; get your TapID and bring it to your next meeting.
